PREPARATION

Infected cell culture supernatant is treated to remove cellular material, further purified by size exclusion chromatography and concentrated. The antigen is presented Tris/NaCl buffer at pH 7.4.

INACTIVATION

β-Propiolactone treatment. Inactivity is confirmed by attempted growth under original culture conditions. Since no procedure can guarantee absolute sterility, the reagent should be handled with appropriate safety precautions.
