Background The SERION ELISA classic Mumps Virus IgG and IgM tests are quantitative and qualitative immunoassays for the detection of human antibodies in serum or plasma directed against Mumps Virus. The SERION ELISA classic Mumps Virus IgM is recommended for the determination of acute infections whereas the SERION ELISA classic Mumps Virus IgG is used for indication of immune status and for detection of intrathecal synthesized IgG antibodies in cerebrospinal fluid for CSF diagnostics.
