Background Annexin A1 is a member of the Ca+2- dependent phospholipid binding proteins that are localized on the cytosolic face of the plasma membrane. It inhibits activity of phospholipase A2, binding 2-4 calcium ions with high affinity. Given the involvement of phospholipase A2 in mediating inflammation, prostaglandins, and leukotrienes, Annexin A1 might have potential anti-inflammatory activity.

Handling
Storage Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store at or below - 20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage, addition of a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) is recommended. For in vitro investigational use only.
Dilution Instructions Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system.
