Research Areas Phosphospecific Antibodies
Background The Integrin beta3 (ITGB3) gene encodes glycoprotein IIIa (GP IIIa), the beta subunit of the platelet membrane adhesive protein receptor complex GP IIb/IIIa. The alpha subunit, GP IIb, is encoded by the ITGA2B gene. The GP IIb/IIIa complex belongs to the integrin class of cell adhesion molecule receptors that share a common heterodimeric structure with alpha and beta subunits. Glycoprotein IIIa is also the beta subunit of 2 other integrins, fibronectin receptor and vitronectin receptor which have distinctive alpha subunits.
Handling
Storage This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C.
Dilution Instructions Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system.
Application Instructions Immunoblotting: use at dilution of 1:500-1:1,000. A band of ~110kDa is detected.
Immunohistochemistry: use at dilution of 1:50- 1:100.
These are recommended working dilutions.
End user should determine optimal dilutions for their applications.
