Specificity This antibody detects endogenous human, mouse, and rat c-Jun only when phosphorylated at serine 243.
Target ID c-Jun (Phospho-Ser243)
Post Translational Modification c-Jun (Phospho-Ser243)
Target Phospho-ser243
Research Areas Phosphospecific Antibodies
Background c-Jun in combination with c-Fos, forms the AP-1 early response transcription factor. It was first identified as the Fos-binding protein p39 and only later rediscovered as the product of the c-jun gene. It is activated through double phosphorylation by the JNK pathway but has also a phosphorylation-independent function
Handling
Storage This antibody is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C.
Dilution Instructions Dilute in PBS or medium that is identical to that used in the assay system.
Application Instructions Immunoblotting: use at dilution of 1:500-1:1,000. A band of ~43kDa is detected.
Immunohistochemistry: use at dilution of 1:50- 1:100.
These are recommended working dilutions.
End user should determine optimal dilutions for their applications.
