Background Hsp47 is a chaperone protein and member of the superfamily of serine proteinase inhibitors. Also known as SERPINH1, it is a stress protein localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and plays an active role in intracellular folding, assembly, and secretion of pro- collagens. Expression of Hsp47 is increased at sites of fibrotic lesions.

Dilution Instructions Dilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
Application Instructions Immunoblotting: use at 1ug/ml. A band of ~47kDa is detected

ELISA: use at 1-10ug/ml with Hsp47 on the solid phase.

Positive control: heat-shocked HeLa cell lysate.

These are recommended concentrations.

End users should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.
