Biological Function Important signaling molecule that activates signaling cascades downstream of NTRK2 (PubMed:11152678). During development, promotes the survival and differentiation of selected neuronal populations of the peripheral and central nervous systems. Participates in axonal growth, pathfinding and in the modulation of dendritic growth and morphology. Major regulator of synaptic transmission and plasticity at adult synapses in many regions of the CNS. Storage Lyophilized product is stable at 4°C in a dry environment. After reconstitution, store at -20°C. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Dilution Instructions Reconstitute with sterile H2O. Mix gently, wash the sides of the vial and wait 30-60 seconds before use.
Application Instructions ELISA: use at 0.1-1ug/ml with BDNF on the solid phase.
